The AI Plug
AI video ads · Los Angeles

I make AI ads for my tire shop.
Now I show you how.

No film crew, no studio. Just a laptop, the right AI tools, and characters that talk like real people.

Where it started

The Morning Rush

I posted $49 tires and asked myself: what if the whole city showed up? That became a 60-second cartoon of my own shop: me, my cowboy mechanic, and the girl at the front desk, talking like we really do.

It took off. Since then, the question in my comments is always the same: how do you make these?

So now I show the whole process: the script, the prompts, the mistakes, and what each video cost.

How it works

Four steps, every video

1

The story

One sentence, eight questions, and ChatGPT writes the script. Characters talk; no narrator.

2

The frames

One picture per scene, same characters every time, set in your real place.

3

The talking clips

Each picture becomes a short clip with real lip-sync. Calm camera, one speaker at a time.

4

The edit

Trim to the words, big captions, music under the voice, and your real prices typed by you.

The 5 lessons

What I learned the expensive way

Swipe through. Every one of these cost me credits.

5 things I learned making AI ads for my tire shop 1. No narrator 2. Only one mouth moves 3. Keep the camera calm 4. AI can't spell 5. Fast start, loud finish

Who's behind this

A real tire shop owner

I run The Tire Plug, a tire shop on East Olympic Blvd in Downtown LA. I'm not an animator and I never went to film school. I learned this by making ads for my own shop, and I share everything that works and everything that doesn't.
